The stenoob works great! There was a problem with the one I bought initially (it sounds like this issue has never happened to them before, so I wouldn't worry about it if you're thinking of getting one) and they handle it so responsibly and professionally. I'm really impressed by this company, and highly recommended getting a Stenoob!
I was skeptical about the stenoob but wanted to get back into steno and couldn’t buy a regular machine at the moment. I’m glad I listened to the good reviews. It’s good for a beginner or someone returning to steno. I am using it to refresh myself on my theory and light speed building. I love that I can plug it in and use it with the stenoob lab. I don’t think it’s something that can take you all the way through school but good for beginners in theory definitely!
Best product ever if you are both a student and employed. I am about to enter 160 WPM next semester. I got tired of bringing my steno machine to work everyday to get in any extra practice whenever I could, and was constantly worried about taking a $3,000 machine with me, not to mention the set up. With the Stenoob, I can easily practice during downtime at work, and it is ready to go within seconds! No more worrying about something happening to my expensive steno machine! The carrying case is a MUST HAVE! Works just like the real thing, except there is no sensitivity adjusting, which I wasn’t expecting. I missed out on it ealier in the fall and was waiting for it to come back in stock, so I recommend getting it before it is gone. PERFECT GIFT FOR ANY STENOGRAPHER! Highly recommend!
